Buchkowski, NormanNorman Buchkowski, age 80, formerly of Bevent, was residing at the Atrium Post Acute Care Center in Schofield where he passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 under the care of Ministry Hospice. He was born on August 23, 1937 in Wausau, son of the late Edward and Mary (Przybylski) Buchkowski. On August 30, 1958 he married Lucille Stoltz at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent. She survives. Norman farmed most of his life, and also worked at Wausau Iron Works and D.C. Everest High School prior to retiring. He was a member of the Men's Society of St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent for over 50 years.Survivors include his wife, Lucille, Bevent; two children, Debbie (Kurt) Slagoski, Bevent, and Randy Buchkowski, Wausau; four grandchildren, Jason (Heather) Slagoski, Megan (fiancé Ethan Bamke) Slagoski, Ashlee (Cody) Kasprak, and Lillian Buchkowski; two great-grandchildren, Tenley and Stella Slagoski. He is also survived by three siblings, Larry (MaryAnn) Buchkowski, Natalie Wilkowski, and Julie (Dennis) Mieska, all of Hatley; two sisters-in-law, Gail Buchkowski, Hatley and Mary Jane Buchkowski, Ringle; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, James, Lawrence and Norbert; and his brother-in-law, George Wilkowski.Funeral Mass will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2017 at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Bevent. Fr. Augustine Bentil will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Monday at the church.
