NORMAN WELLER On December 23, 2016, Norman Weller passed away with his family by his side at the age of 84. He had spent the last year in Cambridge, being well cared for, teased and loved by Nancy and Jim Fotheringham. Dad enjoyed visits to reconnect with Paul and lovely Emily, chatting with Fay on the phone, getting into mischief with Charlie and Eddie, teaching Shiloh to shake hands, his visits, scenic drives, and pub lunches with Peter, Sam's hockey tournament and tasting apple dumplings at the market with Michelle. He also spent time missing Peggy. Dad was born on March 3, 1932 and was bestowed his nickname "Bobo" when his Uncle Freddy and God-father declared him "le plus beau!" He was married to Dora Herbert and they raised a beautiful family: Tom, Nancy, Peter (wife Tracey Slavin) and Elin. They in turn blessed him with three grandchildren: Cameron, Michelle and Sam. Norm worked tirelessly for his family in the car business and as a Real Estate Agent and Broker. He took time out to sell donuts. He loved hiking and camping with his family and Sunday drives were a beloved pastime we all shared. Surprisingly, he taught his children to drive quite well. A special thank you to the Cambridge Hospital ICU for their kindness. A Celebration and Memorial Mass will be held January 13, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Ambrose Church, 210 South Street, Cambridge. Reception and lunch to follow at Nancy's house in Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Kidney Cancer Canada (4936 Yonge St. Suite 226, Toronto, ON M2N 6S3), or email to [email protected].
