Olene G. Zarnstorff1919 - 2015Olene G. Zarnstorff, 96, of Twin Lakes, Wis., died Wednesday morning Dec. 23, 2015, at her home.The former Olene Genevieve Schmalfeldt was born on June 25, 1919, in Silver Lake, Wis., the daughter of the late George and Sophie Schwartz Schmalfeldt. She graduated from Wilmot High School. On Oct. 7, 1939, at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wilmot, WI, Olene was united in marriage to Floyd K. "Jiggs" Zarnstorff. Floyd preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 1997.Olene has been a lifelong resident of Western Kenosha County. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Oriole Springs Apple Orchard. She was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wilmot, where she sang in the choir and loved to play the piano and organ. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed reading and especially her family that was very important to her.Olene is survived by four children, Kenneth (Cora) of Twin Lakes, Wis., Jack (Penny) of Wautoma, Wis., Jeff (Melissa) of Bassett, Wis., and Kathy (Doug) Miller of Twin Lakes, Wis.; four grandchildren, five step grandchildren, six great grandchildren, five step great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.Olene was preceded in death by five brothers, Donald G. Schmalfeldt, Hardy Schmalfeldt, Fred Schmalfeldt, Emerson Schmalfeldt and Harry Schmalfeldt; four sisters, Velma Prost, Margaret Ballock, Lulu Janke and Emily Dean; and four infant brothers and sisters.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday Dec. 29, 2015, Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hy C in Wilmot, WI. Interment will be in Wilmot Cemetery. The Zarnstorff Family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home, 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Church. Memorial remembrances may be made to Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 11233 306th Ave. Wilmot, WI 53192.
