Olga RichardsApril 8, 1932 - February 6, 2017Olga Richards, 84, died peacefully in her sleep on February 6, 2017 at her daughter's house in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born on April 8, 1932 to George and Mary Kotovich in Detroit, Michigan. Her adventurous spirit led her to Florida where she met and married Robert Richards. Eventually, the family headed west, and retired to Hinkley, California. She was a lovely, kind and gracious woman to those who knew her with an an amazing sense of humor. Olga had the rare ability to truly befriend everyone she met. She looked for and spoke of the good in everyone. When she said nothing at all about someone, they must have been really awful. Her inner strength (subbornness) could not be moved once she drew a line. Dynamite would not blow her over it, just everyone else. Believe me, all of us tried. She was full of wicked one liners that would double you over in pain. Her sense of humor must have attracted her to her husband, Robert. He certainly gave her plenty of material. Olga leaves behind a beautifully dysfunctional family that she was very proud of and loved deeply. She will be forever missed and is survived by the love of her life for the past 47 years, Robert Richards. Her brother, Leo Dawson, who taught her love and kindness for all children. Her son and daughter (by marriage), John and Kathleen Richards. Her daughter (by heart), Susan Diak. Her daughter and son (by marriage), Beth and Rob Kniep. Her grandchildren, Jillian Kniep, Austin Kniep, Faith Kniep and Derek Brady, great grandchild, Gabriella Brady, and much loved dog, Coco. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Bobby Richards, and her wolf dog, Rambo. All who loved her dearly will never forget her kindness, humor, grace and enduring love for them. She would often be seen at McDonalds in Walmart with her husband Bob having coffee with their many friends from 10am until about noon. A celebration of life for Olga Richards will be held at Calvary Church on March 4th, 2017 located at 412 Avenue "A" in Barstow California. Service will start at 10 AM.
