Olive BarclayOctober 5, 1912 - October 23, 2013Olive Barclay, age 101, quietly slipped home on October 23, 2013, in American Fork. UT. Her five surviving children were with their beautiful mother during her final hours. Olive Lorentzen Christensen Barclay was born on October 5, 1912, in Blackfoot, Idaho, a daughter of Nephi and Laura Lorentzen Christensen. She was the second of ten children. She was a graduate of Blackfoot High School and attended the Southern Branch in Pocatello where she earned a degree to teach grade school.She married LeRoi G. Barclay on June 11, 1935, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2003. Their first home was a sheep camp in the mountains. They lived in Riverton and then moved to a small acreage in Moreland in 1948 where they raised their family. She was always an involved member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many ward and stake assignments, and especially enjoyed teaching Primary. She treasured the 16 years that she and LeRoi served in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She leaves a legacy of the value and importance of diligence, sharing, serving and loving.She is survived by her children: Jean Wallin of American Fork, UT; daughter-in-law, Nancy Johnsen , of Salt Lake City,UT; Laura Stone of West Valley, UT; Carol (Wayne) Minor of Hemet, CA; Kathleen (Dean) Brown of Riverside and Bryan (Julie) also of Riverside; 3 brothers, Coston, Raymond and Harold; 26 grandchildren, 86 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; twins VeLoi and Lee; 3 sons-in-law; 2 grandsons; sisters, Clara Larsen, Noma Tew, and Thelma Sayer; brothers, Ove , Robert and Nephi. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 on Tuesday, October 29, at the Moreland LDS Church. There will be a viewing from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, October 28, at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S.
