Orie Baker, 87 of Middletown passed away on June 29, 2024 in Hospice care at Otterbein Senior Life Middletown. He was born on February 3, 1937 to the late Otis and Bertha (Hamilton) Baker. Orie was a truck driver for most of his life and was a human map, he could get you anywhere in the United States without even looking at a map. He loved people and telling stories. He was a car enthusiast and was always looking for his next new car. He is survived by his children Douglas (Robin) Baker, Ronnie (Sheila) Baker, Teresa Hampton, Dajuana (Charles) Perdue, and Jonathan (Elizabeth) Baker; grandchildren Landon Mosley, Kevin (Becca) Baker, Ashley (Justin) Bruce, Kelly (Brandon) Gorsuch, Kristin Fessel, Krystal (Zach) Carpenter, Leann (Jeffrey) Stevison, Nathaniel Baker, Layne Baker, Taylor Baker and Logan Baker; 15 great grandchildren; siblings Kenneth Baker, Ann Baber and Leona Combs. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Eugene, Otis Jr. and Karl Baker and sister Grace Baker. Trinity Cremation Care will be handling arrangements and final resting place will be at Butler County Memorial Park. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kaylinn and the staff at Otterbein Senior Life Middletown for taking such great care of Orie.
