Orville Lee Oney, 79, of Hingham, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 28, 2016 after a long battle of health issues.Orville was born on February 15, 1937 in Charleston, West Virginia to Rex and Donnie (Lanham) Oney. Orville served his country from 1956-1959 in the United States Army. He was stationed at "Camp Haven" in Wisconsin and at "Fort Gordon" in Georgia. He enjoyed his working days at Kohler Company, Bemis and Advanced Auto in Sheboygan. Orville was a very well educated man, holding five or more degrees. He had a big interest in education and wind turbines. He enjoyed the evolution of technology, computers and electronics. Orville was an avid reader and read many books of variety.Orville is survived by one brother, Roger Oney of Neenah; and one sister, Aretha (Dave) Binder of Sheboygan. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.Orville is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Becky Oney and one sister-in-law, Rochelle Oney.Relatives and friends may greet the family for a memorial visitation that will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Southside Alliance Church in Sheboygan from 3-5pm, with military honors.
