Otis Turner Lile, 86, of Hodgenville, was born on Oct. 9, 1927, in Taylor County, to the late Henry S. and Vivian Gardner Lile, and passed away Jan. 20, 2014 at Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Lile was an Army veteran and was on active duty during the Korean Conflict and served five years in the enlisted reserve. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association and a supporter of the second amendment. He was a farmer and a retired mail carrier with 32 years of service with the Hodgenville Post Office. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Helen Jane Pearman Lile; a daughter, Angela (Terry) Peace of Magnolia; a host of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews; a special friend, Tommy Allen and his puppy Gracie. The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Gary Pearman officiating. Burial will follow in Hodgenville Pentecostal Church Cemetery.
