KEARNSOttis L. Kearns, Jr., 84, passed away Sunday at Maysville Nursing and Rehab. He was born on March 5, 1933 to the late Ottis L. Kearns and Aileen Johnson Thomas. He was a United States Army Koran War Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Norma Hornback Kearns whom he married December 6, 1953. They were married for 63 years. He is also survived by two sons, Darien Lee (Anita) Kearns of Louisville and Larien Douglas (Marla) Kearns of Maysville; six grandchildren, Michael (Laura) Kearns, Josh Kearns, Kathryn Kearns, Matthew Kearns, Kirk Sweeney, and Ashley (Koby) Rankin; two great grandchildren, Olivia Kathryn Kearns and Joseph Douglas Kearns; one sister, Ann Sims of Tollesboro; and two nieces, April Roberts and her son, Corey Kalb and Christine Roberts and children. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ramona Rich. Funeral will be 12 pm on Thursday at Moore & Parker Funeral Home in Maysville. Burial will be at Carlisle Cemetery.
