Pamela Rochelle Austin, 68, of Tyler, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2023. She was born on May 7, 1955, in Overton, Texas, to the late Mr. and Mrs. William and Mary Austin.

Pamela was a devoted mother and nurse. She was a loving and caring person who always put her family first. She was a member of Bethlehem First Baptist Church for over 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and she had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Pamela is survived by her son, Erwin Lockridge; daughters, LaTrelle Austin, Vanessa Austin; grandchildren, Antonio Wofford, Te’Yonna Austin , Marshunna Wofford, and Tannasia Lockridge; and great-grandchild, Zalayah Long.

Pamela was a strong and independent woman who was always willing to help others, it the same reason she became a nurse. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and will be deeply missed.

Viewing services will be held on December 4,2023 between the hours of 10:30am-2:30pm at The Community Funeral Home located at 1429 N Border Ave,Tyler,Texas 75701.Any flowers or donations can be made to the immediate family members or dropped off at The Community Funeral Home.

A home-going celebration will be held on December 9, 2023, at the Bethlehem First Baptist Church from 9:00am-11:00am. Burial services will be at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery located at 1310 W NW Loop 323,Tyler,Texas 75706.

Pamela will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit, her sense of humor, and her unconditional love for her family. She was a blessing to all who knew her and will be greatly missed. May she rest in peace.
