Freemont — Patrice J. Schlicting, a long-time resident of the Fremont area, died
Tuesday the 29h of December at Premier Estates of Fremont
Born in 1948 in Madison, S.D., Sally received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Education from South Dakota State College in 1951. She continued her education at the University of Minnesota, from which she received her M.Ed. in Nursing in 1955.
Sally taught Nursing at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in the mid-1960s and worked at various psychiatric nursing facilities throughout western Massachusetts in the 1970s. In a career shift, she took a position as a librarian assistant at Franklin County Technical School, Turners Falls, where she worked until her retirement where she then relocated to the quaint town of Fremont to be alongside her children and grandchildren.
Sally loved good food and socializing, enjoyed going to movies and plays with friends, and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.
She is survived by her niece, Tabitha Winslow and several grandnieces, all of whom live in South Dakota and Nebraska, and brought great joy to her later years.
You can to the family or in memory of Patrice Schlichting.
