Franks, Patricia FrancesPatricia Frances Franks, 78, passed away on March 2, 2017 at her home. She was born on April 28, 1938 in Westbury, NY, the daughter of Richard and Eleanor Doyle. She grew up on Long Island, New York, and then moved to Newark Valley where she raised her three children. She was employed by Tioga County as an Administrative Assistant for the Housing Department. She retired to Raleigh, NC, with her husband, where they resided for the last 20 years. Pat enjoyed entertaining family, cooking, gardening, eating chocolate, cleaning, dancing, and listening to Rod Stewart, Julio Iglesias, and the Jersey Boys CD. She also appreciated a good scatter rug. Her house was always the one with the most flowers planted in the yard. She will be remembered for her love and dedication to her cats, and her roast beef with little carrots in the gravy. There will be a celebration of Pat's life on Sunday, April 2 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at Edythe's Care Home, 202 West Glenn Street, Zebulon.She is survived by her daughters, Lori Ann and husband, Edgar, of Youngsville, NC, and Patricia Ellen Parker and husband, William, of Arvada, CO; grandchildren, Ryan, Jason, and Patrick Barron, Ilyssa and Graham Levy, and Matthew and Hunter Franks. Predeceased by sister Catherine Mayer, husband William, and son Edward.The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the staff and residents of Edythe's Care Home for providing a loving atmosphere for our mother.
