PATRICIA M. GROSS, 71 ORANGEVILLE - Patricia M. Gross, 71, of Monroe, WI, formerly of Orangeville, IL, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014, at the Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe, WI. Patricia was born on April 18, 1942, to Paul and Garnet Marie (Couts) Maitland. She was married to Gene Gross for 20 years, and together they raised four children. She graduated from Troy High School in New York. After raising her children, Patricia graduated from Highland Community College in 1980, with her nursing degree. Patricia was an RN in the OB department at the Monroe Clinic, formerly St. Claire's Hospital, and held various other nursing positions throughout her nursing career. Patricia enjoyed reading books, and watching movies. In 2008, Patricia graduated from Life Christian University with an Associate of Arts in Theology. She dedicated her life in the pursuit of following Jesus Christ. Patricia is survived by her four children, David (Deanne) Gross of Orangeville, IL, Tanya (Dan) Franklin of Asheville, NC, Gene Jr. (Sandy) Gross of Texas, and Jeremy (Juanita) Gross of Rockford, IL; nine grandchildren, Nicole (Dan) Lerdahl, Kayla and Ryan Franklin, Michael, Ethan, Sarah, and Sam Gross, Luci and Sadie Gross; one great-granddaughter, Hannah Lerdahl; one brother, Rev. Paul (Shirley) Maitland Jr. of Peoria, IL; two sisters, Ruth (Dan) Forel of Vancouver, WA, and Jane (Bill) Gholson of Ashland, OR. She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Cory Destromp. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Grace Bible Church in Winslow, IL. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. Saturday until time of service at the church. Burial will be at Rock Lily Cemetery in Winslow, IL. Pastor Bob Patin and Rev Paul Maitland Jr. will officiate the service. A memorial has been established for the Grace Free Bible Church.
