AVILLA — Patricia D. King, 65, of Avilla died at her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016. She was born on June 19, 1951, in Fort Wayne to David and Anna (Laux) Jetmore. She was a 1969 East Noble graduate and later graduated from
Indiana University with a degree in nursing. She married Randall King on June 24, 1972. She was a retired registered nurse, working for Parkview Noble Hospital. for 28 years and later Sacred Heart Home. Patricia was a member of St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church in Avilla, and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Randy of Avilla; her mother, Anna Jetmore, of Huntertown; sons, Joshua (Jenny) King of Warsaw, Benjamin (Kristy) King of Kendallville and Samuel (Felicia) King of Avilla; daughters, Abigail (Matt) Cole of Avilla and Miranda (Carmelo) Carella of Avilla. Also surviving are brothers, David (Cheri) Jetmore, Robert (Rhonda) Jetmore, Timothy (Debbie) Jetmore, Harry Jetmore, Joseph Jetmore and Jeffrey (Norma) Jetmore; sisters, Joyce Ternet, Carol Jetmore, Odelia (Stan Searles) Jetmore and Mariane Gordon; her grandchildren, Lillian King, Molly McCord, Kinsey Cole, Gabriel McCord, Nathan Cole, Finn McCord, Vittoria Carella, Silvio Carella, Samuel Koorsen, Ivy Cole, Vicenzo Carella, and Seth Cole. She was preceded in death by her father, David Jetmore. Mass of Christian Burial is at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church, Avilla, with visitation one-half hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, at Harper Funeral Homes, Avilla Chapel, 530 N. Main St., Avilla, with a Rosary service at 7:45 p.m. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Avilla. Memorials are to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
