Patricia Lineberger Revels, 56 of Thaxton, VA passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 at Centra Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born on Saturday, March 18, 1961 in Washington, DC, a daughter of the late Frank H. Lineberger and Loretta Beauvais Lineberger. She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert Lee Revels, her brother, David Higgins, her sister, Sue Turner and her dog, Zeus. She was a member of the Virginia Draft Horse & Mule Association and the Virginia Purcheron Association and a faithful volunteer for several years for Astride with Pride and Saint Francis Service Dogs. She is survived by her husband, Alfred Lee Revels; her daughter, Elizabeth Lauren Revels, her brothers, Frank H. Lineberger, Jr. & wife, Tina of Great Falls, SC, Donald W. Lineberger & wife, Faye of Norfolk; her sister, Sylvia J. Mountcastle of Chester, SC, Cecilia L. Price & husband, Bob of Fuquay Varina, NC, Mary L. Oliver & husband, Larry of Chester, SC and her canine companions, Smokey & Polly. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider Saint Francis Service Dogs, P. O. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 4 until 6 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford, VA and a funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm in the chapel.
