Patricia Marion, 63A Funeral Service for Patricia "Patty" Nan Marion of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Thursday, June 22, 2017, at First United Methodist Church, with Reverend Tom Frase and Reverend Randy Ludwig officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 21, 2017, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Patty passed away June 18, 2017, in St. Louis, MO at the age of 63. She was born on July 29, 1953, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the daughter of Don and Laura Clodfelter Ross. She married Paul Marion on August 17, 1974, in Bloomfield, MO and spent her working years as a business teacher for Mountain Home High School, where she touched many lives. After 38 years of teaching, she retired in 2013, and was inducted into the Mountain Home Education Foundation Hall of Fame in 2014. Her time was well spent with her family, as a doting wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and especially as a Nana to her precious grandchildren. She loved boating on the lake with the Diamond Bay Redneck Yacht Club, shopping with her girls, attending church at First United Methodist Church and doing anything to help others. She had a passion for the children in our community and served as part of the Board for the Mountain Home Education Foundation and spent many years helping with the children's programs at First United Methodist Church. Patty is survived by her husband, Paul Marion of Mountain Home, AR; two children, daughter, Julie (Sam) Haney of Mountain Home, AR and son, Jason (Tracey) Marion of Paragould, AR; five grandchildren, Hayden Miller, Drew Haney, Maddox Marion, Ada Haney, and Beckett Marion; mother, Laura Nan Ross of Bloomfield, MO; two siblings, sister, Peggy (Brent) Milner of Eureka, MO, and brother, Don (Leslie) Ross of Camdenton, MO. She was preceded in death by her father, Don Ross. Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Mountain Home, AR or to the Mountain Home Education Foundation .Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
