Patricia "Patsy" C. Sanchez was called by our Lord on Friday, Nov. 7, 2014. Patsy was a resident of Mora, where she was born on Feb. 24, 1926. Patsy spent her younger years growing up in Mora and upon graduation moved to Las Cruces to attend New Mexico State University where she graduated with a degree as a dietician. Shortly after that she entered the order of the Sisters of Charity and was active for more than 20 years until she came home to care for her elderly parents. During her years in the order she spent time in Helena, Mont.; and Topeka, Kans. After her return she worked in her father's abstract office and at the New Mexico Behavioral Institute in Las Vegas.She was preceded in death by a niece, Jean Montoya Geddings (Ron), her parents, Philip N. Sanchez and Emma Sanchez; her sister, Juliette S. Van Sicklen, her brother, Philip (Babo) C.U. Sanchez, and her sister-in-law, Evangeline (Vangie) Sanchez. Patsy is survived by her many friends, relatives, and nieces and nephews: Patty Garcia (Roger), Phyllis Martinez (John), A. Louis Sanchez (Diana), Philip G. Sanchez (Eliza), and Pat D. Sanchez, as well as several great nieces and nephews.
