WelchPatricia (Kuhn) Welch died on September 13, 2017 at the Hospice Care of St. Elizabeth in Edgewood, KY. She was born on Sept. 2, 1933 as the youngest of four girls to parents Elmer and Nina Kuhn. Pat will always be remembered as a loving and caring daughter, sister, mother, wife, and friend. She is survived by her children, Diane Cahill, Steve Cahill (Kate), David Cahill (Theresa), Deborah (Jerry) Ham, and Denise (Doug) Chester, along with 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She is now reunited for eternity with her son, Andy Cahill, and her beloved family members. In addition to raising a family, Pat earned a degree at age 41 and began her nursing career, cultivating her passion in caring for newborn babies and their mothers. She retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital after 22 years of service. Retirement sparked Pat's sense of adventure and she enjoyed traveling to see some of our nation's most scenic landmarks. She was also an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and UK Wildcats basketball. Watching her family grow through the years, she was most proud of all her children and each one's individual gifts. Even in her passing, Pat had a desire to help others. At her request, her body was donated to the University of Cincinnati for the advancement of medical research. A celebration of her life will be planned for family members and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice Care of St. Elizabeth ([email protected]) or to (
www.alz.org). If Pat were still here with us, she would remind us all to love life, take care of others, and treasure the special moments with our families. Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home is serving the family. Online condolences to
