Patsye Greer McCord of Bartlesville, Oklahoma passed away on October 4, 2016. She was 90 years old.Patsye McCord was born on January 5th, 1926 in McAlester, Oklahoma. She graduated from McAlester High School in 1944. After graduation she met Jack McCord and married him in 1946 in McAlester, Oklahoma. They moved to Chicago, Illinois immediately following their wedding so Jack could finish up his college education after World War II.Upon Jack's graduation from college, Patsye and Jack moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1948 where Jack went to work for Phillips Petroleum Company and Patsye worked for Dr. John Scott until their retirement. After retirement, Patsye and Jack continued to make their home in Bartlesville.While working full time, Patsye found time to raise three children and volunteer her time to help out with all of her children's teams and organizations. Patsye played a very active role at the First Baptist Church of Bartlesville where she led the Young Married Couples Sunday School class with Jack. She was active in the music program at the church where she was a member of the choir, sang in various duet and trio groups and also sang many solos at church activities and services. She had a beautiful soprano voice.Patsye was an extremely organized homemaker and was quite possibly the sweetest woman you ever met. She led an active social life with their many friends and never missed her children's games and events.Patsye was preceded in death by her husband Jack McCord, her parents James & Ruth Greer, brother James Greer, sister Doris Morrison and sister Yvonne Rosso. Patsye is survived by her three children: Marsha Potter and her husband Jeff of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Mark McCord and his wife Cheryl of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Barry McCord and his wife Kathleen of Houston, Texas. Additionally, she is survived by six grandchildren: Erica Cozby and husband Chance, Tyler Worten and wife Sara, Matt McCord and wife Kelsey, Morgan Fleming and husband Matt, Kendall Harelson and husband Tommy and Greer McCord. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren: Campbell and Catcher Cozby, Anna and Tucker Worten, and Reid, Anna Kate and Benjamin McCord.Funeral services will be held in the East Sanctuary at the First Baptist Church in Bartlesville on October 10, 2016 at 1:00 in the afternoon.Memorial contributions may be made kin her memory to the Cornerstone Hospice 3414 S.E.
