Paul A. ButtarsJune 8, 1930 ~ December 25, 2014Paul A. Buttars, 84, passed away on December 25, 2014. He was born on June 8, 1930 to T. J. and Mary Anderson Buttars in Logan and raised in Clarkston, Utah and graduated from North Cache High School. Paul grew up and enjoyed working on the family farm. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War. Paul married his sweetheart, Jeanette Anderson, on November 5, 1953 in Cache Valley. Together they raised six children, whom they loved and supported in their activities. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served an LDS mission in the North Central States. Paul was a faithful member of the Ogden 49th Ward for 57 years and served in many callings.Paul worked at Hill Air Force Base and for the Utah State Library as a bookmobile driver and supervisor for many years. He also enjoyed being the Weber State Athletics score keeper for 20 plus years. He was a friend to everyone. Paul loved to travel and went on 24 cruises. Paul is survived by his sons, Steven (Jacalyn), Michael (Alayne), and Martin; daughters, Rhonda Buttars, and Kathryn Buttars; 24 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, brothers, Jack and Jerry; and sister, Judy.He was preceded in death by his wife, son, Gary; brother, Edward; and sister, Hazel.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Ogden 49th Ward, 4210 S. 300 West, Riverdale. Friends may visit family on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Services entrusted to Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Interment, Clarkston, Utah.
