Wernecke, Paul B.Paul B. Wernecke, age 69, of 6116 Carstens Lake Road, Manitowoc died Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at his residence.Paul was born on January 2, 1946 in Baltimore, MD, son of the late Richard & Norma (Heinemann) Wernecke. He was a 1964 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School and a 1970 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Stout. Paul lived in Milwaukee and worked for the Astronautics Corporation retiring in 2010 and moving to Manitowoc. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Manitowoc Golden K Kiwanis, Lakeshore Wind Ensemble, Two Rivers Municipal Band and enjoyed participating in musical events at the Manitowoc Senior Center.Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law: Charles Wernecke & Diane Wilson, Manitowoc, cousins, other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Richard & Norma Wernecke; one infant sister: Nancy Rae Wernecke; one brother: James Peter Wernecke.Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2015 at St. John United Church of Christ, 1501 Marshall Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. Judine Duerwaechter will officiate with burial of his cremated remains on Monday at the Knollwood Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
