Paul Dean Young1947-2016Paul D. Young, 69, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Wed., Dec. 28, 2016. He was born on Aug. 23, 1947 in Akron, OH to the late Ralph Young and Norma Young Villar. Paul entered Pensacola Junior College after high school. While at PJC Paul became a member of Phi Sigma Tau fraternity. Upon entering the University of West Florida Paul pledged the local fraternity Phi Alpha Epsilon. In Feb. of 1973, Paul, along with his brothers of PAE, became UWF's Florida Sigma Chapter of the National Fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Through this transition Paul proudly served as the first chapter President, or EA, of UWF's SAE fraternity. To this day SAE is still an active fraternity at UWF that serves and represents its university and community. Paul always considered his SAE brothers as family and in his final days many of them came and gathered by his bedside to pray with him. He was a "Hero Brother" and "True Gentleman". SAE was his family and he was and will always be a brother to us all. He also gladly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Paul leaves behind to cherish his memory, three sisters, Theresa Ford, Maria Willett and Tina McKenzie; three nephews, James, John and Jake; four nieces, Lisa, Debbie, Felicia and Christina; and special friends, George Smith and Roy Wiggins. Because of his humility his own family had no idea of the impact he made on hundreds of people he touched with his overflowing care and commitment to every endeavor he strived to achieve. We will miss him more than words can express. A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Mon., Jan. 2, 2017 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South with Rev. David Wiggins officiating.
