Rivas, Paul David "Tio Paul" 51 of Phoenix, passed away on June 3, 2017 with his family by his side. Paul was born on March 20, 1966 in Phoenix, AZ. He is preceded in death by his father John E. Rivas. He is survived by his spouse Frances T. Rivas; children Christopher D. Rivas, Evelyn Tapia, Marcella D. Rivas, Alysia D. Rivas, Tiarah D. Rivas, Mia D. Rivas; mother Olivia H. Rivas; siblings Catalina (Alfonso) Medina, Christina (Richard) Villalobos, Johnny Rivas (Meridith McCauley), Steve Rivas (Sally Trevino), 14 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Paul was a proud family man who loved to speak about his daughter's accomplishments even to strangers. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, involving them in projects and sports, etc. He loved spending time with his family, listening to good music, playing horseshoes and anything to do with cars. Paul was very involved in his neighborhood park, Barrios Unidos, organizing basketball tournaments, coaching T-ball leagues and giving advice and guidance to the youth. He was a small business owner of Imperial Detailing LLC. Paul will always be in our hearts and memories. Visitation will be June 13th, 5-8 pm, Rosary 6 pm @ Phoenix Funeral and Cremation Services, 1327 E. McDowell Rd. Mass, June 14th, 10 am @ St. Catherine of Siena, 6200 S. Central Ave., Phoenix. Burial @ St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St., Phoenix.
