He was at home with his loving wife Patty at his side and a warm circle of family surrounding him. Paul was born on July 8, 1930 to Agnes Lillian and Otto Bickel in Saginaw, MI. Paul was an avid fisherman, poker player, SF Giants and Oakland Warriors Fan. However his greatest joy in life was time spent with his family and they will truly be the best legacy of his life well spent. Paul's character, integrity, patience and kindness were evident in all areas of his life and he leaves many, many behind who will attest to that. While his leaving has left a huge hole in our lives, his love, good humor and passion for life will remain in our our hearts forever.Paul is survived by his wife Patty Bickel, his daughter Karen Sunde, sons Paul II and Michael Bickel, step-children Rob McKay and Becky Newman; six grandchildren and six step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three and two-thirds great-great grandchildren. Also surviving him is his sister Helene Hansen as well as many fond nieces and nephews.
