Purlee, Paul Edward, 89, was called home to his Heavenly Father on January 16, 2017. Paul was born on April 17,1927 in Salem, Indiana to the late Kenneth and Rosa Purlee. He proudly served as a Quarter Master in the US Navy during WWll, retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and was a member of Shively Baptist Church.Paul is survived by his devoted wife, Virginia (Manion), his daughter Dina Bailey (Stephen) and his son Steve Purlee (Sheri).He is also survived by his grandson, Shawn Purlee ( Michelle), granddaughter, Cara Sparks (Chris Martin), step-grandsons, Kyle and Chris Bailey and five great-grandchildren. His visitation will be Wednesday 1pm to 8 pm with his funeral 11 am Thursday at Owen Funeral Home. Entombment will be at Resthaven Mausoleum.In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Hosparus or Shively Baptist Church
