Paul EmmonsJune 8, 1941 - Dec. 9, 2016OSCEOLA - Paul Emmons, 74, of Osceola, Indiana, passed away peacefully due to complications of lung cancer on December 9th, 2016. Paul was born on June 8, 1941, in Rochester, Indiana, to his parents, Donald and Mary Joan Satterwaite Emmons. He attended Mishawaka public schools where he excelled in the technical trades. Paul spent 30 years in the manufacturing industry, working primarily at Skyline Corporation as a Supervisor. He continued his career as an independent contractor, providing repair services for mobile homes and recreational vehicles for several years until he retired. Working with his hands is what he did best, building everything from table sets for his grandchildren, curio cabinets to hold special mementos, and even the house in which he was residing. Paul was very giving of his time and would often help friends and family who needed help with projects around their homes. A lover of antiques, Paul was an avid collector and he and his wife could be found often at auctions. In addition, he spent a number of years restoring a 1928 Ford and enjoyed spending time with like-minded people in the Model “A” Club. Later in life, Paul found a passion for baking and enjoyed creating confections to satisfy his sweet tooth. Paul and his wife also loved to go camping where they made many dear friends and memories. His family and friends will forever cherish his life: Wife of 47 years, Marilyn Harness Emmons; his daughter and son-in-law, Shalon Emmons-Kirkwood and Matthew Kirkwood; his daughter, Kim Cupp; his grandchildren, McKhi and Mattea Kirkwood, Kyle Cupp and Keenan Facio; his two sisters, Carol Rajski and Pam Sayer; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm, Tuesday, December 13, 2016, with the funeral service at 6:00 pm, at the Bubb Funeral Chapel 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, IN.
