We are saddened to announce the passing of Paul Francis Strine, also known by many as “Doobie”, who left us on January 8, 2025, at the age of 66 in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland.

Born on September 10, 1958, at Sibley Hospital in Washington, D.C., Paul was the son of Colleen Katherine (Miles) and Paul Francis Strine, Sr.

Paul grew up in Capitol Heights, MD, and graduated from Central High School class of 1975. He married Karen Moreland in 2000, and they made their home in Front Royal, VA, before moving to Chesapeake Beach, MD, circa 2010. Paul was a self-taught handyman, carpenter, and jack-of-all-trades. He also loved to sing, and hunt for shark teeth along the Bay with his family. Above all was the time he loved to spend with his family, especially his many grandchildren.

Paul is survived by his beloved wife Karen (Moreland) Strine of Chesapeake Beach; daughters Jessica Swann, Jennifer Strine, Lisa Strine, Stephanie Strine , and Angel Swann ; son Paul Francis Strine, Ill; sister Joyce LeeAnne Smith and her husband Michael of Lothian; nineteen grandchildren with one more on the way; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends who will all miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Sr. and Colleen Strine, and his sisters Colleen, Teresa, and Helen Strine.
