MONTPELIER Paul Gordon Premo, 76, of Gould Apartments, died on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017, at the VA Medical Center in White River Junction, VT. He was born on Oct. 25, 1940, the son of Gordon and Gladys (Warren) Premo, in Montpelier, VT. He attended Montpelier Public Schools and graduated from Montpelier High School in 1958. On March 2, 1959, he enlisted in the
United States Air Force and served during the
Vietnam War until his honorable discharge on Dec. 10, 1962, attaining the rank of Airman First Class. Paul worked as a sales representative for Durkee Foods and McCormick and later, a local bread company. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #3 in Montpelier. Survivors include his son, William "Billy" Premo, of Boston, MA; daughter, Leslie Premo, of York, PA; and son, Mark Premo, of Winooski, VT; nieces, Linda Roberts and her husband, Dennis, of Montpelier, VT, Wendy Graves and her husband, Wayne, of Jacksonville, FL, Beth Herring, Cindy Ingalls, Andrea Scott and her husband, Howard, Robin Goff and her husband, Charles, all of McColl, SC; and nephew, James Ingalls and his wife, Debbie, of Liberty, NC. He is also survived by several great-nieces and -nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Joyce Ingalls. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Guare & Sons Funeral Home.
