Paul J. Gretencord Jr.Paul J. Gretencord Jr., 65, of Fowler, IN, passed away on Monday , April 3, 2017, at home surrounded by family.  He was born on November 10, 1951 in Lafayette, IN to Paul O. and Lucille V. (Lanie) Gretencord.  He was a 1969 graduate of Benton Central High School.  He married Karen Gwilliam on Aug. 21, 1976. He is survived by his wife, Karen, son Randy (Christy) Gretencord of Evansville, IN, daughter, Linda Gretencord of Bellevue, NE and son, John Gretencord of Chalmers, IN; siblings, Elaine Puetz of West Lafayette, IN, Harold (Marcia) Gretencord, Lafayette, IN, Donald (Shirley) Gretencord of Earl Park, IN, Kathy Hampton of Lafayette, IN.  Grandchildren; Abigail, Blaine, Tyler and Mason Gretencord and Meredith and Madilyn Gretencord, as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Lucille (Lanie) Gretencord.Junior was a farmer and lifelong resident of Benton County.  He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Earl Park, IN.  Junior loved fishing and enjoyed spending time with family, friends and especially his grandchildren.  He enjoyed going to auctions, working with his hands and fixing things for others.The Rosary will be at 4 pm. with visitation to follow until 8 pm. E.S.T. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Earl Park, on Wednesday, April 5, 2017.  The funeral mass will be on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 10 am. E.S.T., with Father Robert Bernotas officiating.  Internment at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Earl Park following the funeral mass.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Church in memory of Paul Gretencord Jr.  Windler Funeral Home, Fowler, IN is in charge of arrangements.
