The journey began on June 12, 1971. A child was to Pat Lee Soloman and Calvin Russell. Paul graduated from McClain high school in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He also attended Vo-Tech to get his certificate in Welding and plumbing. Paul at a very young age accepted Jesus into his heart as his Lord and Savior. 

He was a loving father to four beautiful children whom he truly loved very much. He carried the same love for his family and friends. He was a sweet kindhearted person who loved people and was always able to make you laugh or smile. He was the shining light on a dull day. Always giving, sharing and encouraging those he encountered. 

Proceeding in death by his father, Calvin Russell, great-grandmother, Alma Farmer Barnett; grandmother, Marion Russell; grandfathers, Clarence W.Russell and Nehemiah Soloman; Aunt, Kathy Russell; Uncle, Gerald Russell Sr., brothers, Tyrone Soloman Mayberry and Schem Lee.

Paul leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Pat Lee Soloman and step-father Michael Lee. Grandmother Johnnie Austin; His Children Tamika Miller, Shanisha Miller, LaKeisha Carter, and Javon Overstreet;  Grandsons, Dejuan Russell, Candace Crook and Courtni Stephensen; Brother Shawn Avery; sister, Aretha Johnson; Gerald and Destiny Russell, Josh and Katana Russell, Candace Crook and Joyce Russell. There are so many people that could be mentioned because he loved everyone as his brother and sister. A host of nieces and nephews, aunts, and uncles, We love you all and sincerely thank you.
