Paul "Skip" KingJune 02, 1933 - May 03, 2017VisaliaIt is with great sadness that we announce that Skip King passed away on May 3, 2017 at the age of 83. He was born on June 2, 1933 to Paul and Grace King in Exeter, CA. He graduated from Exeter High School and was drafted into the Army during the Korean War. After the war ended he came home to work and continue his education at College of the Sequoias where he earned a bachelor's degree. He worked on the family's citrus ranches until the 1980's, and then he went to work in the petroleum gas industry until he retired. Skip became a member of the Masonic Lodge when he was 21 years old, where he served 2 terms as Past Master Mason of the Exeter Lodge #303. He was also an active member of the Tulare County Shriners Club. As well as many other contributions he loved to drive his Tin Lizzie in the local parades. He loved to drive his 1930 Model A and his 1951 Ford Coupe, travel, playing the piano and flying. He is survived by his brother Dana King of Visalia, seven children; David Rhodes of Newport Beach, CA, Debbie Jones of Weatherford, TX, Curtis King (Mary) of Fate, TX, Gail Scott of Clovis, CA, Mark King (Lynda) of Knoxville, TN, Melissa Jensen of Tulare, CA and Paul King III (Marcey) of Visalia, CA as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that will miss him dearly. Visitation will be held at Smith Family Chapel in Exeter from 3:00pm until 7:00pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. A Masonic Graveside Service will take place at 2:00pm on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Exeter District Cemetery.Arrangements by Smith Family Chapel, Exeter. Condolences may be made at
