Paul J. Kurosky, 86, of Montrose, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at Celtic Hospice in Wilkes Barre, after an extended illness. He was born on June 3, 1927, in Montrose, to the late Chester and Margaret (Kalinoski) Kurosky. His wife of 30 years, Audrey Kurosky, survives.Also surviving is his daughter, Cheryl Kurosky, Apalachin, N.Y.; step children and their spouses, Linda and Claire Williams, Athens, Perry Maddox, Wyalusing, Larry Maddox, Pearl, Miss., Beth and Paul Allen, Monroeton, Rex and Carol Barbur, Jessup; several grand and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his five sisters; Evelyn Abramson, Frances Kurosky, Josephine Ingraham, MaryAnn Kurosky, Celia Cedarborg, four brothers; Lucian, Leo, Pete, and Raymond Kurosky, step-daughter, Darlene Bunnell, and grandson, Tyler Bunnell.Paul was a life member of Holy Name of Mary Church, a WW II
Army veteran, and talented carpenter. He was an avid trapper and hunter; he enjoyed camping, especially at trapper's conventions all over the U.S.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Holy Name of Mary Church, with Rev. Phillip Rayappan Celebrating Mass. Interment will be in the Holy Name of Mary Cemetery. Visitations will be at the Daniel K.
