King , Paul OliverDecember 21, 1921 - October 29, 2016Paul Oliver King, 94, passed on to live with his Creator and Savior on October 29, 2016, in his home at Walnut Creek, Ohio. He was born on December 21, 1921, to Elizabeth Augsburger King and Edward King, in Elida, Ohio. Paul was committed to following Christ, and was a lifelong member of the Mennonite Church. He served with Mennonite Central Committee in various assignments throughout the US and in Italy. He graduated from Goshen College with a degree in sociology, and studied at the Mennonite Seminary in Goshen, IN. On June 7, 1952, Paul married Lois Meyer, who survives. He served as pastor in the Mennonite Church for more than 35 years, with churches in Illinois and, after retirement, in Ohio.In addition to his wife of sixty-four years, Paul is survived by four children; Sara (Marlin Yoder) of Fresno, OH, David (Laurel) of Wichita, KS, Daniel of Wichita, KS, and Miriam Blosser (Michael) of Sarasota, FL, seven granddaughters and six great-grandchildren. A brother, Robert, of Sarasota, Florida also survives. He was preceded in death by siblings John, Freda Milne, Betty Albrecht, and Clara Brenneman. A memorial service will be held at the Martins Creek Mennonite Church, Millersburg, Ohio at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 12, 2016. Visitation will be on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 5-8 pm, at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite Central Committee, P.O.
