Paul R. Barta age 67, of 1373 Hubbard Circle, Manitowoc died Friday morning August 31, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born on November 2, 1944 in Manitowoc son of the late Raymond and Ellen (Dahlke) Barta. He grew up in Manitowoc and was a 1962 graduate of Manitowoc Lutheran High School. Paul worked for 36 years with Anheuser-Busch in sales, retiring in 2004 from Larry's Distributing in Sheboygan. On February 5, 1972 Paul was married to Yvonne Gagnon at First Reformed United Church of Christ in Manitowoc. Paul and Yvonne are members of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church. Paul enjoyed gardening and traveling, especially in Europe, on river cruises. He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.Survivors include his wife: Yvonne Barta, Manitowoc; his three children: Lisa (Todd) Wellner, Manitowoc; Trisha (Mat) Crass, Manitowoc; Michael Barta, Green Bay; three grandchildren: Brianna Crass, Lexus Crass, Levi Crass, and one expectant granddaughter: Emily Crass in October; one brother: John Barta, Manitowoc; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Margaret (John) Bentley, Manitowoc; Kaye (Ronald) Schwoerer, Valders; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Ellen Barta.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3209 Meadow Lane, Manitowoc. Rev. Stephen Melso and Rev. Robert Kujawski will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold and Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is serving the Barta family.
