Paul L. RittleMyerstownPaul Lloyd Rittle, 88, passed away on Sunday, April 30 in the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon.He was the husband of June E. (Miller) Rittle. They would have been married 67 years on May 14th.He was the son of Lloyd F. Rittle and Mary E. (Moore) Rittle, born on July 10, 1928 in Mt. Zion, Lebanon R.D.He was a member of Zion (Goshert's) United Church of Christ in Mt. Zion. He was a member of the Myerstown High School class of '45. He was employed by Quaker Alloy Casting Co. in Myerstown for 37 years, retiring from the production office in 1991. After retiring, he worked for Manheim Auto Auction in Grantville and arranged bus trips in Pennsylvania and Connecticut. He served in the Army 28th Division stationed at Fort Indiantown Gap and with NATO forces in Germany from 1952-54. He was a member of Mount Lebanon Masonic Lodge #226 in Lebanon, the Reading Consistory, Scottish Rite, Rajah Shrine, Legion of Honor, and the Lebanon County Shrine Club.He was a 40 year member of the Antique Automobile Club of America, the Hershey Region and the Pennsylvania Dutch Region AACA. He was a vendor and volunteer at the annual Hershey Fall Meet and car show and a charter vendor at the Carlisle Collector car events. He was a charter member of the Kutztown Community Fire Company, a member of the Myerstown Senior Center and the Blue Mountain 50 Plus Club, and the Jaycee Travelers Camping Club.Activities he enjoyed included bowling, boating, water-skiing, snowmobiling, camping, and driving old cars and trucks.In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Karen, wife of Eugene Koppenhaver, Jr. of Myerstown, and Karla, wife of Corey Basselgia; and a grandson, Lukas Basselgia, all of Lebanon.Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, with a viewing beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be private at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Myerstown. A Masonic Service will be privately held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the , 3551 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140-4131.
