Paul Washington SpenceMANSFIELD: Paul Washington Spence, 75, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly August 7, 2017, at Ohio State University Medical Center.Paul was born on February 22, 1942 in New Castle, IN to the late Ethel Binion Spence Kash and the late Earl Spence. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during peacetime. Paul was an enthusiastic fisherman and an all-around handyman who could fix anything and would help anyone at any time.He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Ronda (Fred) Leach, Barbara (Mike) Snyder and Paula (Tony) Middleton, all of Mansfield; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren with one on the way; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles (Patricia) Kash of Medina and Harlan (Sondra) Kash of Mansfield; three sisters, Roseann Freeman, Linda McGlone, both of Mansfield and Kaye and Pastor Frank Skies of Bellefonte, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie May Spence, and younger brother, Lowell Spence.Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2017 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, OH. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with his brother-in-law, Pastor Frank Skies, officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.Online condolences may be made at
