BRAINERD, Minn. – Paul "Buzzy" W. Coventry, 68, of Brainerd, Minn., died at his home on Wednesday, Nov. 16. Services for Paul will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 4 p.m. at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, Minn. with visitation starting at 3 p.m. at the chapel.Paul was born on Feb. 28, 1948 in Independence, to Stuart and Phyllis (Welsh) Coventry. He was raised in Jesup, where he graduated high school in 1966. Paul moved to Orlando, Fla. before moving to Minnesota and living in Park Rapids in 1975. He married Martha Gray on May 18, 1975 in Park Rapids. They moved to Nisswa in 1977 and Paul started his business with the Nisswa Guides League in 1978. He also worked as a mechanic at Tanner Motor Company from 1978-1985. In 1981 Paul and Martha moved to Brainerd. Paul enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding motorcycles.Paul is survived by his sons: James "Jamie" (Michelle) Coventry of Pine River, Minn., Jeffery Coventry of Brainerd, Minn., and Jason Coventry (Francine Alt) of Motley, Minn.; ten grandchildren; brother, Craig (Nancy) Coventry of Littleton, Iowa; and sisters, Sherill Cain of Independence, Iowa, and Michele Rose of Independence, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stuart Coventry and Phyllis Hookom; wife, Martha on Jan. 9, 2000; youngest son, Jeremy Joel on July 23, 2000; and brother, Stuart Jesse Coventry. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, Minn.
