Peggeen Charlotte Pedersen1925 - 2016Peggeen Charlotte Pedersen, 91, of Waukegan, Ill., passed away at her daughter's home in Pleasant Prairie on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016. She was born on Jan. 15, 1925, in Waukegan, Ill., the daughter of the late Oliver and Norma (Lippert) Jones. She was educated in the schools of Waukegan, Ill., graduating from Waukegan High School. Peg married George Pedersen on Nov. 14, 1947, in Waukegan, Ill. She was a homemaker, and worked as a Waukegan Police Department Crossing Guard for 35 years. She also worked for the Waukegan American Legion Women's Auxiliary. Peg was a member of Yorkhouse Methodist Church in Waukegan, Ill. She loved to design cakes, and enjoyed sewing and crocheting.Survivors include her four children, Susan (Peter) Neahous of Pleasant Prairie, Karen Pedersen of Zion, Ill., David Pedersen of DeKalb, Ill., and Beth (Paul) Gordon of Pleasant Prairie; a sister, Betty Hopkins of Waukegan, Ill.; five grandchildren; and a great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband George, and a sister Eileen Littner.In lieu of flowers memorials to American Legion Auxiliary Post #218, 2615-30th St. Zion, IL 60099, would be appreciated by the family.A celebration of Life will be Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016, from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Village Supper Club, 10909 - Sheridan Road, Pleasant Prairie.
