We mourn the loss of Peggy McKenzie, a beloved member of our community, who passed away on August 19, 2023. She was born on May 29, 1951, in Richmond, Virginia, United States, to her loving parents Richard and Evelyn Sachs. Peggy was united in marriage to her devoted husband Broady McKenzie in 1970, and together, they built a life filled with love and cherished memories.

Peggy was a loving and devoted mother to her two children, Bernice Lillard and Patricia Clan. Bernice found her life partner in Aaron, while Patricia embraced the love of her life, Joshua. Peggy adored her children and found immense joy in watching them grow and thrive. She was an exceptional grandmother to three grandchildren, who brought immense happiness to her life.

Peggy dedicated herself to the noble profession of teaching. Throughout her career, she poured her heart and soul into shaping young minds and guiding them towards a brighter future. Her passion for education touched countless lives, and her students will forever carry her wisdom and guidance within them.

Tragically, Peggy's battle with Leukemia came to a close on August 19, 2023. The fight against this formidable illness was a true testament to her resilience and strength. She faced the challenges with unwavering courage and grace, inspiring all those who knew her.
