Peggy M. Owens, 62, of Elkwood died Monday, October 22, 2012 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. She was born May 3, 1950 in Fauquier County to the late Roy and Pauline Grimes Myers. 

Mrs. Owens was a graduate of Culpeper County High School and was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church in Lignum as well as the National Education Association. She dedicated 29 years to A.G. Richardson Elementary School where she never missed a day and worked until the day she became ill. She dedicated her entire life to being a loving, caring wife, mother and friend. She loved NASCAR, shopping for shoes and traveling to Myrtle Beach. Mrs. Owens was an amazing mother even to those who were not her children. They would affectionately refer to her as Peggy Jo. She was a fantastic cook and nobody ever left her home hungry. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Ronald Owens, two daughters, Rhonda Owens of Culpeper and Pamela Wells and her husband, Jerry of Culpeper, grandchildren, Ryan and Aaron Owens and Chase and Elizabeth Wells, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Paula Anne Owens. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 6 to 8 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 11 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Stan Mulford officiating. 

Interment will follow Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lignum. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to her grandchildren’s college fund, c/o Connie Dwyer, 18225 Youngs Lane, Elkwood, VA 22718.
