Peggy was educated in the Pitt County schools in Greenville NC. She attended Sally Branch Primary and she graduated from Epps High School class of 1967.  When Peggy Graduated she left Greenville to go visit her older siblings up north in Long Island NY, Queens NY and Hackensack NJ and her dad in Bridgeport CT. While visiting and trying to decide what to do with herself and her life she saw a sign for, job corps and to get a college degree. So she signed up and it took her life to Charleston WV.

Peggy was in JobCorps in Charleston WV and eventually enrolled into WV State University , where she obtained 2 degrees in Criminal Justice an AS & BS. After she graduated from college she began her career at the US Postal Service 1976.

Peggy continued her career at the US Postal Service where she was in management her entire career except year one. Peggy treated her employees well, helped people get promoted, and served as an officer in the NAPS (National Association of Postal Supervisors) until her retirement in 2/2008. Even after retirement Peggy stayed active in the NAPS and Red Hatters social club and she served on Pastors Aide and the Women's Ministry, at United Baptist Church.

Peggy still loved attending the NAPS Annual Crab feast where she was big with getting those crab feast tickets sold every year, Until the last 6 years where she was diagnosed with Dementia, she still remained deeply involved. Last year marked the first time she did not attend and sadly not long afterward, she peacefully returned home.

Peggy Showed up for everyone and everybody near far. Peggy traveled all the time up and down 95. She was a family person and she loved her family. From different nieces, nephews, sisters that have stayed with her over the years. She is always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
