Peggy Ann Rohach, 57, died on December 14, 2021 at MercyOne Hospital in Waterloo, IA.
Peggy is survived by her mother; four children: Abby (Joey) Tamburin, Rachel (Paul) Chamberlain, Riley Rohach, and Nicole (Travis) Ledvina; her sisters Debra (Terry) Fischer and Diane Meletio. She is also survived by three grandchildren, two nieces, and two nephews. She is preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
Peggy was born to Dickie and Patricia (Pates) Hoeppner on May 31, 1964 in Waterloo, IA. She graduated from Central High School and then later graduated from Hawkeye Community College with a degree in Respiratory Care. Throughout her career, she worked at various hospitals as well as home health care companies. Peggy eventually found her true passion for working with military veterans at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, IA. She spent many years of her life dedicated to her work at IVH, where she loved each and every one of her patients and coworkers as her own family.
Peggy was a proud and loving mother. Anywhere she went, you would find her doting over one of her children and applauding them in some way. She was also a devoted daughter, sister, and friend. She loved to recognize how her mom was her forever best friend. Peggy's favorite place to be was at the Mississippi River, on a beach, with her toes in the sand, having a blast with her family. Buenie (North Buena Vista) was her second home and family was her most treasured gift. Peggy was great cook and loved to serve her family at get-togethers. She also took pride in being an independent woman who could accomplish things on her own; there was nothing she couldn't do. She always had her makeup done up and her nails painted with beautiful colors.
Peggy was a bright ray of sunshine, an absolute joy to be around. Her smile and laugh were contagious. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
