Peggy Ann White was born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia on July 2, 1939, to Eva and Raymond Adams. She entered eternal rest on October 21, 2023.
Peggy was educated in the Pittsylvania County school system but later moved to Baltimore, MD to attend Dunbar High School. On April 27, 1968, Peggy married Alvin White. They enjoyed their honeymoon at Coney Island located in Brooklyn, New York. This union brought forth (5) beautiful children, whom they adored.
Peggy received her Certified Nursing Assistance (CNA) from The Red Cross and gained employment at Church Home Hospital located in Baltimore, MD. Once retired, Peggy worked at several day care centers because of she loved and devoted herself to care for children.
Peggy was passionate about helping others and she had a very kind heart. She always fed people who came into her home. Baking was one of her favorite hobbies, especially around the holidays and birthdays. She was very good at it and decided to join a local baker’s club.
Peggy was a devoted member of Little Ark Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. Her favorite gospel hymn was “That Old Rugged Cross”. Her favorite Bible scripture was Psalms 23 Verse 1: The Lord is My Shepherd, I lack nothing.
Peggy is predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Eva Adams and her husband, Alvin White. She leaves to cherish her memories: daughters, Cheryl D. White Sharon E. Huff and Deborah R. White ; sons Alvin L. White and Dwayne White; son-in-law, Mark Huff; 11 grandchildren: Alvin T. White, Kayla R. Pyles, Devin Brockington, Sharonice Boone, Sherrice Huff, Shamar Huff, Shavonne Huff, Amber White, Alvin P. White, Kia White and Rashad White; 5 Great grandchildren; 6 Great-Great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
