PRESTON - Peggy Earlene Coburn McKay, 86, passed away Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at Heritage Home in Preston, Idaho. She was born on Oct. 28, 1924, in Dayton, Idaho, to Earl Alvero and Ila May Jensen Coburn, the only girl in a family of five boys. She married Dale F. McKay on March 11, 1942, in the Logan LDS Temple and they had five children.Peggy was a member of the LDS Church and she served in all organizations and auxiliaries. She and Dale also worked in the family history extraction program. She loved family trips, even day trips, and never left her children home. They have many fond memories of those trips and time spent together. Peggy and Dale wintered in Yuma, Ariz., where they had many friends they looked forward to seeing each year.Peggy loved her children and grandchildren and looked forward to seeing them any time she could. She enjoyed summers and time the family spent at "The Lot" in Cub River. The family always teased about her being the "last one standing" as she was the last of her siblings still surviving. We love you a lot and look forward to seeing you again.She is survived by her children, Sondra (Leon) Edwards, of Preston, Idaho, Dan "C" (Janette) McKay, of Preston, Syndee (Scott) Christensen, of Preston, and Terrie (David) Jenkins, of Newton, Utah, 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dale, and a son, Van Dale McKay.Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at 11 a.m. in the Weston LDS Chapel with Bishop Trent Alder conducting. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Weston Church and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., also at the church. Interment will be in the Weston Cemetery.
