FRAZIER Peggy Jean, 86, died September 13, in Lexington, KY. Peggy was born on October 2, 1929, in Montgomery, West Virginia, the daughter of Dr. Claude and Nina Frazier. She was preceded in death by her beloved brothers, Dr. Claude A. Frazier and Dr. Calvin Frazier. She is survived by a son, David Frazier Henderson, (Ellin), of Beggs, OK, a daughter, Sarah Ryder (Jim) of Lexington, KY; grandchildren, Morgan Henderson, Sylvan Ryder and Mead Ryder. She is also survived by a special sister-in-law, Kay Frazier, Asheville, NC. Peggy often said that if she knew her grandchildren were going to be so much fun, she would have had them first. After graduating from Marshall University in 1951, she became a flight attendant for American Airlines, beginning a lifelong passion for travel. In 1955 she moved to Lexington, KY where she raised her family and always cheered for the UK basketball team. During her life Peggy loved playing tennis, singing and playing piano, spending time with her family and traveling. She was an accomplished painter, enjoying both creating and collecting art. Peggy was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church, later in life she attended Immanuel Baptist Church and was a member of the Halleluiah singers there. The family would like to thank the staff of The Breckenridge for their loving care. A memorial service will be held at 11am with a visitation time beginning at 10am on September 17 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Lexington. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Lexington Humane Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
