Penny Patrisciea Tremblay Obituary

Mar 17, 1954 - Sep 16, 2022

This obituary is administered by:

It isn't what we leave behind, it's what we leave in people's hearts that counts...

Penny (Penelope) Patrisciea Tremblay, 68, began her Spirit
Journey with her family lovingly by her side, at Health Sciences North, Sudbury
ON, on September 16, 2022.

She was born “Lucky”, on March 17, 1954, in Blind River, ON
and raised by her loving parents John and Alberta Maria Solomon.

Although Penny’s life started out difficultly, she was full
of life and love even from a very young age where she earned a reputation as a
joy to be around and was always finding ways to be helpful.

Penelope grew up in Spanish ON, where she was destined to
meet her soul mate and husband, whom she married in Brownsville Ontario in
1972. Penny and her husband eventually
found themselves back in their hometown of Spanish and then Elliott Lake where
Penny finally became a mother, something she had dreamed of for many
years. She and her little family then
moved to Spanish in the 1980s.

Some of the many proud accomplishments Penny achieved in her
life were going back to school as an adult and graduating from high
school. She then attended Sault College
of Applied Arts & Technology where she graduated with an associated degree and
served as a Native Community worker with Child & Family Programs. She also furthered her education long
distance at Cambrian College. She was an
avid seamstress with many beautiful creations under her belt, a beader, and
crafter extraordinaire. Penny headed
many programs for women, teens and children in her area and gained many lasting
relationships from this. In her early years Penny was the custodian of numerous
buildings in Spanish for several years. She also enjoyed bartending dances and special events with her husband.
They shared a passion for making the most of life and having fun whenever
possible together and with their two girls.

Penny’s greatest pride was being the best, Mommers, Gramma,
Great Grammy, and Aunty. She was so
happy to be an active, constant part of all their lives. She loved drinking tea, collecting teapots,
cups, saucers, and knick knacks. The
stories and laughter that flowed from sharing a nice cup of tea were
heartwarming and always special.

Penny was raised by parents that taught her true gift-giving
came from the heart and not the pocket. She carried that tradition her whole life and spent lots of her time all
year long putting together the perfect thoughtful gifts for her loved
ones. Those who were fortunate enough to
receive her trinkets of love will now have a lasting memento of the love this
wonderful woman selflessly gave us all until her last breath in the physical
world.

Penny’s favorite time of year was the fall. She enjoyed the many beautiful colors, the
falling leaves, and always loved to tour around and see the fall colors on
Manitoulin Island. She and her husband
would pick a tree in their yard each year as a guess to which would lose all
the leaves first. Its fitting that she
began her Spirit Journey at such a beautiful time of year.

Penny Tremblay is survived by: her devoted daughters Natasha (Paul) Therrien
of Sudbury, Ontario and Tammy Lynn Tremblay of Massey, Ontario; loving
grandchildren Dreyden Tremblay-Duff of Massey, Ontario, Morgan John. F.
Therrien of Sudbury, Ontario, Stephanie (Bryan Franklin) Therrien, and Michael
(Jessica Silva) Therrien, both of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan; adoring great-grandchildren Annabella Rose
& Natalie Ann Therrien, Aubryanna Laponsie, Aubrielle & Adalyn Silva
and Bentley Therrien, all of Sault Ste. Marie Michigan; special honored auntie
to Crystaal Gail Solomon of Barrie, Ontario, Gregory (Susan) Solomon of Sault
Ste. Marie, Michigan; loving great-auntie to Raven Commanda, George & Poppy
Solomon of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan and Tegan Solomon-Chappell of Barrie,
Ontario.

Penny is also survived by her sister Raisa (George) Laundriault
of Elliott Lake, Ontario; brother-in-law, Jim Leadsom, of Spanish, Ontario;
sister-in-law Nancy (Jerry) Granberg of Spanish, Ontario, Gilles Tremblay of
Barrie, Ontario, Lise (Bernard) Gilbert of Preissac, QC, Rachel (George) Dell
of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and Joanne (Maryse Poisson) Tremblay of
St-Emile-de-Suffolk, QC. She will also
be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and the many special
“adopted” children she had the pleasure of loving along the way.

Our dear Penny is preceded by:

Her loving husband, JP Tremblay; her parents; brothers
George Solomon, Eugene (Marina) Solomon, “baby” Joe Solomon, Joseph Solomon;
sisters Loretta (Herbert) McCormick, Agnes (Steve) Onasenko, Mary (Dave)
Cavanaugh, Margret Solomon, and Gail (Laurier) Labelle.

In her life, Penny would say that she was lucky because she
was born on St. Patrick’s Day, but we all know that we have been the lucky ones
to have had her touch our lives in her way.
