Perry Lee Carroll, 66, passed away on Nov. 15, 2016, at his home in Oliver Springs.He was born on May 20, 1950 in New River, Tenn. to Milford and Billie Gene Carroll.Perry grew up in Oliver Springs. He graduated from Oliver Springs High School in 1968. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army.Perry married Ruth Dawson in Monroe, Mich. They were happily married for 46 and a half years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed gardening.Perry is survived by his spouse, Ruth of Oliver Springs; daughter Rae (husband Mark) Beasley of Lancing; mother, Billie Strickland of Oliver Springs; brothers, Ralph (wife Gladys) Carroll of Brandywine, MD, John (wife Sally) of Indianapolis, Ind., Steve Carroll of Lanham, MD and Lloyd Carroll of Oliver Springs; sisters, Collene Merritt of Beltsville, MD, Lily (husband Dick) of Louisville, Ky., Judy Seiber of Oliver Springs, and Jan (husband Owen) Long of Oliver Springs; loving grandsons, Derek and Adam; and a host of loving aunts, nieces, and nephews who will miss his generous and loving spirit.Perry was preceded in death by his father, Milford Carroll; sister, Eller Hooper; brother, Lonnie Carroll and uncle Roy Hunter.The family received friends Saturday, Nov. 19 from 2Ð5 p.m. at Cove Road Primitive Baptist Church in Oliver Springs. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. at the church with Pastor Thomas Vananda officiating.Premier Sharp Funeral Home has been honored to serve the Carroll family.
