Peter J. Laumbach Jr., 91, a resident of Los Montoyas for the past two years and formerly of Mora County and Roy, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at his home in Los Montoyas.He was born on June 10, 1923, in La Cinta to Peter Joseph Laumbach and Fidelia Andrada Laumbach.He was a member of La Sociedad de San Antonio in Los Montoyas, and The National Trappers Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, he was a leather smith and enjoyed making boots and saddles.He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Fidelia Laumbach; first wife and mother of his children, Guadalupe C. Laumbach; numerous brothers and sisters - Peter was the youngest of seventeen siblings - great-granddaughter, Miranda Coca; and mother-in-law, Margarita Montoya.He is survived by his wife, Donilia Laumbach of Los Montoyas; sons and daughters, Leo Laumbach and wife, Helen, of Springer, Fidelia Maes and husband, Roque, of Sandia Park, Pete R. Laumbach and wife, Joyce, of Hope, Greg Laumbach and wife, Belinda, of Rainsville, Gloria Griego and husband, Alex, of Albuquerque, Pablo Montoya and wife, Addie, Dennis Esquibel and wife, Cindy, all of Las Vegas, Carlos Montoya of Los Montoyas; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Casimiro Laumbach of Albuquerque, Al Laumbach of Roy; sisters-in-law, Emma Beck and husband, Charles, of Albuquerque, Albertina Espinoza of Pueblo, Colo., Chonita Robles and husband, Tony, of Anaheim, Calif.; brother-in-law, Alex Montoya of Los Montoyas; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.Rosary services will be held at 7 p.m. today (Friday) at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday also at Immaculate Conception Church with Father C. John Brasher as celebrant. Interment will follow at Los Montoyas Cemetery with the following serving as casket bearers: Reuben Maes, Fidel Laumbach, Patrick Maes, Hank Laumbach, Greg M. Laumbach and Joshua Jaramillo.
