Wallin, Peter J.Peter J. Wallin, 72, of North Fond du Lac, died Thursday, November 10, 2016, at St. Agnes Hospital.He was born on December 20, 1943, in Ashland, a son of Marvin and Eunice Trempe Wallin. He was a graduate of Horace Mann High School, Class of 1961.On April 24, 1971, he married Rose Ann Steffes at St. John the Baptist Church, Johnsburg.Peter worked for the Soo Line Railroad, Wisconsin Central, now called Canadian National for 34 years as an engineer. He was a member of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, North Fond du Lac. He enjoyed trains, videos of trains, railroad magazines, and was an avid reader.He is survived by his wife, Rose; seven children: Peter Wallin II of Atlanta, Georgia, Mark Wallin of Loganville, Georgia, Mary (Terry) Cummings of Buford, Georgia, Jacinta (Evan) Valeri of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Matthew (Katie) Wallin of Indianola, Iowa, Anne (Andrew) Gajeski of DeForest, Wisconsin, and Philomena (fiancé, Andy Victor) Wallin of Fond du Lac; 13 grandchildren: Bridget Wallin; Alex, Logan, and Noah Cummings; Aidan and Nadia Valeri; Benjamin, Judah, Xavier, Augustine, and Mariam Wallin; Abigail and Lucas Gajeski; a brother, Marvin (Sharon) Wallin of Oshkosh; two sisters: Pat (Gary) Blasewitz of Appleton and Pam (John) Gilgenbach of St. Peter; brothers and sisters-in-law: Ronald (Carol) Steffes of St. Peter, Joseph (JoAnn) Steffes of Johnsburg, Gerald (Linda) Steffes of Fond du Lac, and Robert (Jean) Steffes of Johnsburg; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
