Biography

Peter Kywan Pugh, a cherished father, grandfather, husband, and friend, departed from this world on April 30, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. Born in the vibrant streets of Bronx, NY, on November 23, 1979, Peter brought joy to all who crossed his path until his final moments in Toledo, OH. 

Peter's life will be honored at Owens Funeral Home, 216 Lenox Ave, Harlem, NY, on May 19, 2024. The viewing will be held from 11 am to 3 pm, followed by a Funeral Service from 3 pm to 5 pm. He will be laid to rest at Rosehill Cemetery, 792 E Edgar Rd, Linden, NJ, on May 20, 2024. 

Peter's greatest pride and joy were his children: Malik Jones, Myeairra Pugh, Dayqwon Pugh, Nila Edwards, Kyuana Pugh, and Peter Pugh Jr. His heart swelled with love for his grandchildren: Ta'Myiah McKinley, Tamaj Edwards, and Ky'rie Pugh. He embraced his role as a stepfather to Amari, Ayannah, Anisa, and Anaya with warmth and compassion. 

Peter shared a deep bond with his beloved wife and later to be friend, Hollie Pugh, whose love and support enriched his life immeasurably. Despite the challenges he faced, Peter's love for family was unwavering. 

His vibrant spirit and infectious laughter brightened every room he entered. Peter was known for his quick wit and humor, always ready with a joke or a witty remark. His favorite sayings, "Good Lookin'," "That's my word," and "You already know," echoed his positive outlook on life. 

From his days in school, where his intelligence shone brightly but his mischievous side often led him astray, to his passion for football and rap battles, Peter embraced life with gusto. He was a talented athlete, known for his daring backflips off high fences, and a gifted lyricist who found solace in music and rhymes. 

Peter's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. As we bid farewell to this remarkable soul, let us remember him not for his flaws, but for the love, laughter, and light he brought into our lives. 

How Pete would say,

"Good lookin' out for the memories, you already know it was a blessing, that's my word!"
